Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Classroom Assistant to support our Indigenous Language and International Languages program. The successful candidate will work closely with our instructors to provide a positive and inclusive learning environment for students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students during classroom activities through various instructional strategies
  • Promote positive attitudes and encourage enthusiasm for language learning
  • Provide feedback that builds confidence and strength
  • Develop and maintain an equitable and inclusive learning environment
  • Communicate with instructors about student progress and concerns
  • Ensure student safety and establish safe dismissal procedures
  • Assist with restoring the classroom to its original state

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children and/or teaching
  • Fluency in various languages (an asset)
  • Related education (degree or diploma, etc.)
