Job Opportunity: Elementary Counsellor

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Elementary Counsellor to join our team at Majagaleehl Gali Aks Elementary School in Hazelton, BC.

About the Role:

This is a part-time (.400 FTE) continuing position, starting as soon as possible. The successful candidate will work with students at all grade levels, developing and implementing individualized learning plans to support academic, social, and emotional learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work as part of a team to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Relate well with students, parents, and staff members
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Ability to work in a diverse and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
  • Valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate (or eligible for)
  • Experience teaching students at all grade levels
  • Working knowledge of the revised BC Curriculum
