About the Opportunity

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled Capital Program Planner - Architectural Systems Specialist to join our team. This role focuses on ensuring the integrity and efficiency of NSH building architectural infrastructure in coordination with the Director Maintenance & Operations team and related programs.

This involves strategic alignment with NSH Health Services plans and departmental health care objectives, as well as planning, development, and coordination of various capital programs. Key responsibilities include:

  • Aligning with NSH Health Services plans and objectives
  • Planning and coordinating Repair & Renewal, Capital Medical Equipment, and Clinical Capital Programs
  • Collaborating with peers and management for program implementation and coordination
  • Assessing Major Capital program requirements and developing solutions
  • Working with other Departments on Capital Program initiatives and projects
About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

A Bachelor's Degree in Architecture with significant planning experience, preferably in Health Care

Minimum of 5 years experience in architectural systems assessment and planning

6 years experience in capital program development and implementation

Knowledge of Building Code, Occupational Health & Safety Act, and ASHRAE standards

Ability to prioritize customer concerns, maintain standards, and handle conflicting demands

Competency in languages other than English, with French preferred

Hours and Compensation

This is a permanent, full-time position with a bi-weekly schedule of 75 hours.

The hourly rate for this position is $53.67.
