This position entails delivering comprehensive legal guidance and support to essential internal stakeholders in relation to the commercialization of medical technologies and services. You will engage in the negotiation of intricate commercial contracts and provide insights on regulatory compliance and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering legal services across a diverse range of medical technologies and services
  • Drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts
  • Collaborating with various internal teams to assess contract provisions
  • Offering legal counsel on commercial legislation, healthcare regulations, and associated matters
  • Educating staff on legal issues
  • Formulating solutions for business challenges and disputes
  • Advising business partners on critical considerations
  • Working collaboratively across corporate divisions to attain optimal outcomes

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 12 years of experience in corporate and commercial law
  • Possession of an LL.B./JD and membership in the Law Society of Ontario
  • In-depth knowledge of the Canadian healthcare legal and regulatory landscape
  • Experience in collaborative work with international teams
  • Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally
  • Proficiency in French is advantageous
