Benefits Associate

At Selectpath Benefits & Financial Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Benefits Associate to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional client service and support.
Key Responsibilities:- Client Support: Deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring client satisfaction and exceeding expectations.
- Renewal Coordination: Plan, organize, and facilitate the preparation and completion of client renewals, collaborating with stakeholders to manage timelines and ensure accurate documentation.
- Issue Resolution: Respond promptly and effectively to client inquiries, explain benefits options, and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Pricing Negotiation: Assist in negotiating pricing with benefit carriers to secure the most favorable terms for clients.
- Proposal Development: Help Advisors prepare for finalist meetings and assist in producing benefit plan options and proposals for prospective clients.
- Client File Management: Manage large client files with attention to detail, ensuring accurate recording, secure storage, and easy accessibility for reference.
- Benefit Plan Expertise: Provide accurate and thorough answers to client requests and questions, demonstrating a deep understanding of benefit plans and the ability to provide clear and helpful information.
- Carrier Communication: Communicate with carriers through client issues, ensuring prompt and effective resolution and maintaining good relationships with carriers.
- Client Experience: Ensure the client experience is delivered upon from start to finish of the client life cycle, coordinating various aspects of the client relationship, managing expectations, and providing consistent and high-quality service.
- Training and Development: Assist in training Benefits Administrators, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance the overall proficiency and performance of the team.
- Education: University degree or an acceptable combination of education and progressively responsible work experience.
- Experience: 5-10 years of benefits experience required.
- Designations: Group Benefits Associate (GBA) designation, or willingness to obtain, and Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation preferred, or willingness to obtain.
- Skills: Advanced knowledge and application of MS suite of products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), ability to take initiative, and a proactive approach to work.
- Personal Qualities: Enthusiastic, respectful, high professional, and uncompromised confidentiality, ability to organize and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment, and bilingualism considered an asset.
