Job Summary:

CB Canada is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify and process invoices for payment, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Match invoices with purchase orders and goods receipts, and process payments in a timely manner.
  • Upload data into our financial system, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Follow up on outstanding invoices and payments, and respond to internal and external inquiries.
  • Process wire transfers, cheque requests, and other financial transactions.
  • Review and clear balances in our general ledger.
  • Ensure vendors who directly debit our bank account have all necessary invoices posted to the payables system.
  • Comply with quarterly audit requirements and provide documentation for tax audits.
  • Provide competent assistance on special projects and enter journal entries as prepared by the Cost Accountant and Accounting Supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field, such as accounting or finance.
  • 2-3 years of experience in an accounts payable role.
  • Excellent initiative, organization, and communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Experience with large integrated systems, such as SAP, is an asset.
