Executive Leader for Rail and Transit Projects

Ideal Candidate:
We are in search of a Senior Director of Rail and Transit Infrastructure Projects to enhance our Rail/Transit division. This role is crucial for the advancement and expansion of GHD's Transit/Rail sector.

Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing cross-functional teams for both preliminary and detailed design phases of linear infrastructure projects, serving as Project Manager or Project Director.
- Assuming full responsibility for project management from proposal initiation to project completion, including team management, subcontractor coordination, budget oversight, scheduling, quality assurance, safety protocols, and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Collaborating with GHD Design and the design team, which may include international members.
- Addressing contractor inquiries, reviewing shop drawings, and conducting site visits during construction as necessary.
- Preparing, monitoring, and managing project budgets.
- Engaging with clients and participating in business development and promotional initiatives for the organization.
Qualifications:
- Registered Professional Engineer in Ontario.
- Possession of PMP certification or actively pursuing it.
- Experience with Regional Municipalities or Local Transit Agencies.
- Minimum of 15 years of project management experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams, particularly in Bus Rapid Transit and/or Light Rail Transit Projects.
- Experience in alternative project delivery methods (P3, DB, PDB) and managing collaborative arrangements with contractors and consultants.
- Experience with alliance delivery models is highly advantageous.
Reporting Structure:
- Reports to the Rail and Transit Lead in Ontario.
