Job Overview:
GHD is seeking a highly experienced Project Director to lead our Rail and Transit Infrastructure practice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing multi-disciplinary teams and overseeing the development and growth of our Transit/Rail practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams for preliminary and detail design for linear infrastructure projects and programs.
- Take ownership of all aspects of project management, including team management, budgeting, scheduling, quality control, safety, and client satisfaction.
- Interface with GHD Design and design teams, as well as clients and stakeholders.
- Prepare and administer project budgets, and ensure timely delivery of projects.
- Liaise with clients, participate in business development, and promote the company's services.
Requirements:
- Registered Professional Engineer (P. Eng) in Ontario.
- PMP certification (or working towards).
- Experience working with Regional Municipalities or Local Transit Agencies.
- 15+ years of project management experience on multi-discipline engineering teams, with experience in Bus Rapid Transit and/or Light Rail Transit Projects.
- Experience with alternate project delivery models (P3, DB, PDB), and managing teaming arrangements with contractors and consultants.
- Experience with alliance delivery models is highly desirable.
Reporting Structure:
- Reports to the Rail and Transit Lead in Ontario.
