About the Role

HITACHI RAIL STS CANADA, INC. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Security Analyst to join our team in Canada. As a Senior Security Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our rail projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Safety and Security Organization in managing security certification elements for design, construction, and deliverables for the as-built design in complex rail transit projects.
  • Collaborate with the Safety and Security Organization during meetings with customers to follow up on risk assessment status for both physical and cyber security in regard to the entire transportation project.
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative risk assessments and utilize security assessments, accident/injury trend analyses, security performance data, and input from other groups to identify potential security deficiencies and corrective actions.
  • Interface with internal stakeholders to collect information, assess the risk analysis, create checklists, and ensure all controls have been properly implemented in time and on cost.
  • Manage the Threats and Vulnerability Analysis in compliance with APTA standards.
  • Attend technical discussions with customers to review document submittals and manage customer observations.
  • Keep updated the Project Security Log, Technical Security Reports, Systems Security Management Plan, and Security Management Report.
  • Support the Safety and Security Organization in managing Independent Safety Assessors.
  • Manage Verification and Validation of implementation evidence to support the certification process throughout the design and commissioning stages.
Requirements
  • 5-8 years of experience with at least 3 years in rail transit projects.
  • Local experience is considered an asset.
  • Familiar with FTA Safety and Security Certification process.
  • Skilled in interacting with subcontractors and customers.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Proficient in English speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Bachelor's degree (in Security, Engineering, or Technical/Physical Science) is required, plus an advanced degree such as MBA or MS is preferred.
