Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clients in participating in outdoor recreational activities
  • Provide support related to patient care and comfort
  • Manage personal care tasks
  • Handle bedpan duties
  • Serve meals and assist with feeding
  • Assist in weighing, lifting, turning, and positioning patients
  • Deliver messages and documents between departments
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient rooms
  • Support clients with bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Transport patients using wheelchairs or stretchers
  • Respond to patient call signals to assess needs
  • Collect medical specimens as required
  • Administer first aid in emergencies
  • Prepare meals for clients
  • Perform housekeeping tasks
  • Assist clients with personal hygiene
Certifications Required
  • Training in Moving Patients Safety Principles (MPSP)
  • Continuing Care Assistant Certification
  • First Aid and CPR Certifications
  • Nursing Aide and Health Care Aide Certifications
Experience with Special Needs
  • Experience in assisting individuals with mobility challenges
Safety and Security
  • Criminal record check required
  • Immunization records must be provided
  • Vulnerable sector check necessary
  • Tuberculosis test required
Transportation Requirements
  • Personal transportation is necessary
