Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our team at Alltech Consulting Services. As a key member of our HashiVault squad, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our services and delivering a superior user experience to our clients.


About the Role

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing new features, resolving user requests, and reducing repeatable tasks to enable our team to focus on strategic initiatives. You will work closely with our Engineering and Operational teams to ensure the continuous improvement of our services through automation scripting and effective observability solutions.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Support Engineering & Operational tasks, including service delivery, automation, DevOps tasks, and on-call rotation.
  2. Collaborate with the Vault squad and wider Technology stakeholders to develop automation scripting and effective observability solutions.
  3. Enforce adherence to architectural standards, global product-specific guidelines, usability design standards, and other relevant principles.
  4. Onboard new tools to support business needs and integrate with the ecosystem.
  5. Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and Agile ceremonies to ensure the delivery of high-quality products.
  6. Share knowledge across the Vault squad and Data Protection chapter through documentation, presentations, and internal postings.

Requirements
  1. Experience working with Kubernetes and Public Cloud (AWS and/or Azure).
  2. Programming skills in Golang and/or Python.
  3. Operational and Engineering experience in managing applications and services in an enterprise environment.
  4. Technology security experience, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a collaborative approach.

Desirable Skills
  1. Experience with HashiCorp Vault and Terraform products.
  2. CI/CD toolchains such as Maven/Jenkins/Gitlab and methodologies like GitOps.
  3. Configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, CloudFormation, and Salt.
