Special Care Counseling Instructor

Your Role in a Nutshell:

Are you prepared to significantly influence students' educational experiences? As a vital member of our academic team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing curriculum development, supporting student learning initiatives, and maintaining academic standards. If you are passionate about education, we welcome your expertise in shaping the academic success of our students.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instruction aligned with module and program objectives as outlined in the curriculum.
  • Assess student performance consistently and fairly.
  • Contribute to the creation of curriculum and instructional materials.
  • Support campus administrative functions to improve the student experience.
  • Uphold the standards of the College in all actions.
  • Engage in College and Program Activities.
  • Monitor and evaluate students during practicum and/or clinical placements as required by the program.

Qualifications:

  • A degree or diploma from a recognized university or college in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of two years of instructional experience, including ongoing professional development.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Meet specific position qualifications as outlined in program design and approval for course instruction.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including proficiency in presentation and group facilitation.
  • High standards of conduct, a professional demeanor, and a commitment to quality service.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with fellow instructors and staff.
  • Capacity to understand and respond appropriately to the needs and feelings of students, providing equitable feedback.
  • Proficiency in utilizing technology to enhance the student learning experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A credential in adult education or in progress from an accredited postsecondary institution, along with teaching experience is preferred.
  • Current membership or license with the relevant regulatory body is preferred.
  • Interest in pedagogical and multi-modal educational approaches is an asset.
