Job Title: Senior Account Manager - Agricultural Solutions
Location: Remote
Status: Full-time, permanent
Position Overview: We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic sales expert to become a vital part of our team as a Senior Account Manager for our Agricultural Solutions division. This position focuses on nurturing and expanding relationships with current clients while actively seeking new business prospects. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in the agricultural sector, particularly in fertilizers, animal nutrition, and industrial chemicals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance sales to both new and existing clients by showcasing our exceptional product offerings during regular visits.
- Develop and manage customer accounts through proactive outreach and data collection.
- Maintain strong business connections with clients and key stakeholders within the organization.
- Ensure outstanding customer relations by prioritizing in-person meetings and frequent travel within the designated territory.
- Elevate the customer experience for key accounts by identifying decision-makers and understanding their requirements.
- Achieve or surpass annual sales and profit objectives.
- Actively engage in financial forecasting activities.
- Participate in prospecting and cold-calling to capture new business opportunities.
- Utilize effective negotiation skills to secure new contracts or renew existing agreements.
- Ensure that documentation and reports are accurate and submitted promptly.
- Collaborate with the support team during customer interactions to optimize sales opportunities.
- Participate in industry-related events and initiatives.
- Organize and manage time effectively while engaging in various projects as assigned by the Sales Manager.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Science, Business, or Marketing.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the Industrial Chemicals sector, focusing on agricultural products and fertilizers.
- Strong network and business relationships within the agricultural industry.
- At least 5 years of experience in B2B sales and business development within distribution and/or manufacturing.
- Proven negotiation skills, business acumen, and commercial expertise.
- Self-motivated with the ability to demonstrate autonomy and initiative, learn new technologies, and adapt to changing environments.
- Excellent communication and listening skills, with proven presentation capabilities.
- High level of organization and planning skills.
- Passion for the profession, along with strong time management and prioritization abilities.
- Proficient in computer skills and experience with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce).
- Possess a valid driver's license and passport. Travel is expected to be around 50% of the time, including overnight stays.
