Position Overview: We are looking for a dynamic and driven sales expert to join our team as a Senior Account Executive in our Agricultural Solutions division. This position focuses on nurturing and growing relationships with current clients while actively seeking new business prospects in Saskatchewan and Manitoba. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in the agricultural sector, particularly in fertilizers, animal nutrition, and industrial chemicals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance sales to both new and existing clients by showcasing our premium product offerings during regular visits.
  • Develop and manage customer accounts through proactive outreach and information collection.
  • Foster strong business relationships with clients and key stakeholders within the organization.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service by prioritizing in-person visits and frequent travel within the designated territory.
  • Elevate the customer experience for key accounts by identifying essential decision-makers and understanding their requirements.
  • Achieve or surpass annual sales and profit targets.
  • Participate actively in financial forecasting initiatives.
  • Engage in prospecting and cold-calling to uncover new business opportunities.
  • Utilize effective negotiation skills to secure new contracts or renew existing agreements.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in documentation and reporting.
  • Collaborate with the support team during customer interactions to optimize the development and closure of sales opportunities.
  • Contribute to and participate in industry-related events.
  • Organize and manage time efficiently while engaging in various projects as directed by the Sales Manager.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Science, Business, or Marketing.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the Industrial Chemicals sector with a focus on agricultural products and fertilizers.
  • Strong network and business relationships within the agricultural industry.
  • At least 5 years of experience in B2B sales and business development/prospecting within the distribution and/or manufacturing sectors.
  • Proven negotiation skills, business acumen, and commercial expertise.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to demonstrate autonomy and initiative, learn new technologies, and adapt to changing situations.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills, with proven presentation capabilities.
  • High level of organization and planning skills.
  • Passion for the profession, with strong time management and prioritization abilities.
  • Proficient computer skills and experience with a CRM system (preferably Salesforce).
  • Possess a valid driver's license and a valid passport. Travel is expected to be around 50% of the time with overnight stays.
