Cost Estimation Specialist

Position Overview: The Service Estimator plays a crucial role in determining the financial aspects of labor, equipment, and materials required for service operations. This position also involves preparing proposals for equipment repairs, replacements, and maintenance agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with technicians to ensure detailed and accurate estimates that encompass parts, labor, and customer specifications;
- Assess the validity of recommendations, identify potential system challenges and opportunities, and relay findings to the relevant Territory Manager;
- Develop estimate and proposal templates to enhance efficiency, precision, and uniformity;
- Collaborate with Territory Manager(s) to finalize proposals in accordance with client specifications;
- Work alongside the Sales team to generate precise estimates and proposals for maintenance opportunities;
- Relay leads for upgrades, retrofits, and new projects to the Estimating team;
- Coordinate with the Purchase Order Administrator to ensure the correct parts are procured.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical or construction estimation;
- Possession of a Refrigeration or Plumbing Trades ticket, Technical Diploma, or a post-secondary degree;
- Familiarity with estimation software;
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel;
- A valid Class 5 Driver's License.
