In this role, you will:

  • Foster a client-centric culture within the team to enhance client connections and utilize broader organizational relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Oversee and implement all facets of market analysis for stakeholders across the Scotiabank Group of Companies.
  • Collaborate with business line stakeholders to comprehend objectives and research requirements.
  • Design comprehensive research initiatives (including the development of research proposals, methodologies, targets, quotas, timelines, etc.).
  • Execute complete research projects utilizing in-house tools and resources when appropriate.
  • Identify and manage partnerships with high-quality vendors (e.g., full-service, fielding, panel, etc.).
  • Apply project management principles to ensure research initiatives are delivered on schedule and within budget.
  • Promote and advocate for research strategies and insights through various channels.
  • Direct and deliver research strategies and insights.
  • Establish a cohesive network of vendor relationships to ensure insights align with business needs.
  • Guide the application of effective and innovative market research techniques.
  • Coordinate, analyze, and present market research data, including insights from various sources, advising stakeholders or senior management on optimal actions.
  • Create and maintain a professional network for knowledge sharing.
  • Provide relationship management support for diverse business lines across the organization.
  • Build trust with internal stakeholders, including key senior leaders, to leverage insights for influencing business strategies and decisions.
  • Deliver insights in a consultative manner to support stakeholders during strategy, ideation, and execution phases of their projects.
  • Contribute to a high-performance environment and demonstrate a commitment to Scotiabank's values: accountability, passion, integrity, and respect.   • Manage and support multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Liaise with multiple vendors concurrently.
  • Support various stakeholders and/or business lines concurrently.
  • Share and utilize available research and insights.
  • Design and execute projects within budget constraints.
  • Proactively contribute to a positive team environment across both direct and broader teams.
  • Offer assistance to teammates and leaders to enhance overall team performance.
  • Work in a hybrid model with limited in-office days; non-standard hours may be required.
  • Minimal travel is expected for this role.

Do you possess the skills that will enable you to excel? We would be interested in you if you have:

  • Advanced experience in market research (8+ years), preferably on the vendor or client side.
  • Thorough understanding of the complete process of quantitative and qualitative market research.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to translate and communicate business requirements into technical research project specifications.
  • Extensive knowledge of multi-variant statistical techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams.
  • Superior organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Expertise in SPSS, R, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Qualtrics.
  • Awareness of emerging market research techniques.
  • Fluency in French is a plus.
  • A completed undergraduate degree or college education in commerce, mathematics, or computer science.
  • Completion of a Market Research certificate program is an asset.
  • Specialized qualitative training, such as Qualitative Research Associate designation, is an asset.
