Position: Product Change Management Specialist
Role Overview:
The Product Change Management Specialist at Galvion plays a crucial role in executing proposed modifications in workflows, systems, and product specifications. This position requires close collaboration with multiple stakeholders to ensure precise documentation of alterations and enhancements, while also refining the Engineering Change Request (ECR) and Engineering Change Order (ECO) processes as part of the Product Life Cycle (PLC) for product innovation and Bill of Materials (BOM) oversight within the Tactical Head Solutions sector.
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement change-reporting protocols and prepare guidelines for change approvals.
- Evaluate suggested design and process modifications and generate reports for managerial review.
- Coordinate with departmental leaders to clarify policies and procedures related to change reporting.
- Oversee the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system (Arena) and manage the ECR and ECO workflows.
- Engage with Operations, Product Development, Marketing, and Sales teams to ensure the accuracy of BOMs within the system.
- Collaborate with IT to facilitate the seamless transition of BOM items to the ERP system.
- Deliver outstanding internal customer service and assist various departments with ECR, ECO, and BOM requirements.
Qualifications:
- 0 to 2-year associate's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing or production setting.
- Strong interpersonal abilities and capacity to interpret technical drawings.
- Familiarity with process and configuration management is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, ERP systems, and PLM software.
- Highly driven with a keen attention to detail; occasional travel may be necessary.
