Position Overview

As a **Sous-Chef** at Oretta Hospitality Inc., you will play a vital role in our culinary team, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary school or equivalent experience is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year and up to 2 years in a similar role is preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain comprehensive records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
  • Introduce and demonstrate innovative cooking techniques and equipment to the kitchen staff.
  • Guide cooks in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of dishes.
  • Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets.
  • Oversee the activities of cooks and other kitchen personnel.
  • Regularly prepare and cook meals or specialty dishes for guests and special occasions.
  • Manage requisitioning of food and kitchen supplies.
  • Consult with clients on menu planning for weddings, banquets, and other special events.
  • Ensure that food quality meets established standards.
  • Prepare dishes accommodating food allergies or dietary restrictions.
  • Train kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and safe food handling practices.

Employment Details
