Financial Education Program Coordinator

Athabasca University's Faculty of Business is seeking a Financial Education Program Coordinator.
This is a temporary part-time position.
Role Overview:
The Financial Education Program Coordinator will oversee the administration, teaching, and delivery of four undergraduate Finance courses:
- FNCE 249: Personal Investing
- FNCE 322: Personal Finance
- FNCE 323: Personal Finance: Special Topics
- FNCE 350: Insurance and Personal Risk Management
The Coordinator will ensure effective course management, supervise designated Academic Experts/Markers, and collaborate with support personnel as needed. Responsibilities include addressing student concerns (such as grade disputes, course challenges, exam reviews, and transfer credit inquiries) and managing a team of tutors who assist students. The Coordinator may also support ongoing course revisions for final approval. This position reports to the Centre Chair of Economics and Finance within the Faculty of Business.
Qualifications:
- A PhD in Finance is required.
- Experience in online education and familiarity with digital teaching technologies would be advantageous.
Work Environment:
This role is virtual. While the responsibilities can be performed remotely, candidates must reside in Alberta.
