Project Manager

The North West Company is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to oversee the engineering and construction of facilities, ensuring economical and efficient construction to meet business requirements.

This role is responsible for developing, training, and monitoring the use of the company's project methodologies, tools, and aids. The successful candidate will identify and validate project scope, risks, constraints, dependencies, and resource demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project plans, including budgeting and scheduling;
  • Oversee capital projects and monitor progress against planned milestones;
  • Prepare and obtain approvals for project charters and associated work plans and budgets;
  • Ensure projects are engineered in line with company standards and specifications;
  • Monitor and audit project deliverables, making recommendations and reporting as necessary;
  • Collaborate with other project teams and stakeholders to resource projects and meet scope, budget, and timelines;
  • Identify and manage project risks;
  • Communicate project status and issues to stakeholders;

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in project management, preferably in construction or retail;
  • Combination of work experience in corporate retail, retail projects, construction management, and project management education is desired;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, and Microsoft Project;
  • Strong organization, time management, and people management skills;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize them while adhering to strict schedule deadlines;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Willingness to travel up to days per year in North America and international markets, as required;
