About the Role:

We are expanding our land development team and are seeking a Senior Land Use Planner to work in a hybrid setting, with the flexibility to operate from various locations. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A university degree in land use planning or a related field;
  • Professional Planner designation (RPP) and membership in the Canadian Institute of Planners (MCIP);
  • A minimum of five years of experience in land use planning, ideally with a background in both private and municipal sectors;
  • Strong communication skills in English, with French as an asset;
  • Proven business development and client relationship management skills;
  • Project management expertise, capable of overseeing diverse projects and leading teams;
  • A collaborative spirit, working effectively with clients and stakeholders;
  • Leadership abilities to guide technical professionals;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and GIS as a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the delivery of consulting services to both private and public sector clients, including managing project teams and budgets;
  • Leading project teams and providing guidance as necessary;
  • Engaging with clients to secure new projects;
  • Reviewing planning documents and offering professional insights on land development initiatives;
  • Collaborating with municipalities and government bodies on development applications;
  • Presenting findings to municipal committees and councils;
  • Managing project approvals for various development types;
  • Preparing planning reports and rationales;
  • Evaluating development submissions on behalf of municipal clients.
