About the Role: We are expanding our land development team and seeking a Senior Land Use Planner in Ontario, offering a hybrid work environment with access to various offices. The ideal candidate will possess:
- A degree in land use planning or a related field;
- Professional Planner designation (RPP) and membership in the Canadian Institute of Planners (MCIP);
- A minimum of five years of experience in land use planning, particularly in private-sector roles;
- Strong communication skills in English (French is an asset);
- Proven business development and client engagement abilities;
- Project management expertise, capable of overseeing diverse projects;
- Team collaboration skills, working effectively with clients and stakeholders;
- Leadership qualities to guide technical professionals;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and GIS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the delivery of consulting services to both private and public sector clients, including project management and budget oversight;
- Leading project teams and providing guidance as necessary;
- Engaging with clients to secure new opportunities;
- Reviewing planning documents and offering professional insights on land development initiatives;
- Collaborating with municipalities and government entities on development applications;
- Presenting findings to municipal committees and councils;
- Managing project approvals for various development types;
- Preparing comprehensive planning reports;
- Evaluating development submissions on behalf of municipal clients.
