Marketing Director

Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Blastworks Inc. Full time

Blastworks Inc. is seeking a seasoned Marketing Director to drive our game's player engagement and retention strategies in a 1-year maternity contract. As a key member of our Victoria-based studio, you will be responsible for developing and implementing programs to activate, engage, retain, cross-sell, and increase customer lifetime value for our portfolio of successful mobile games.

Key responsibilities and deliverables:

  • Provide operational planning and execution for Customer Relationship Management (CRM) programs
  • Leverage our Customer Engagement Platform to develop cross-channel customer journeys using user segmentation and leveraging dynamic/triggered messaging to optimize campaign responsiveness
  • Collaborate with the Product Manager and broader teams to develop and implement end-to-end journey and lifecycle campaigns, including campaign planning and design, targeting, list management, campaign health monitoring, and post-campaign analysis
  • Work with the Data Analytics team to create reporting that measures campaign effectiveness and channel-level impact

Qualified candidates will have:

  • 5+ years of experience in CRM/Direct Marketing in a multi-faceted and creative environment
  • Experience with a major Customer Engagement Platform
  • Experience with start-to-finish planning, executing multi-channel direct marketing CRM programs, including social media, email, mobile push, and in-app messaging
  • Analytical thinker with a can-do, problem-solving attitude and a depth of knowledge in analytics, campaign tracking, and ROI metrics
  • Excellent project management skills with a bias towards action against goals, on-time delivery, and operational excellence
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Preferred candidates will have:

  • Experience in mobile gaming or lifecycle-based business
  • Experience with Leanplum/Clevertap
  • Experience with A/B and Multivariate Testing
  • Experience with Mobile User Acquisition
  • Experience with App Store Optimization (ASO)

Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000 CAD annually

Exact compensation will be based on skills and experience.
