About the Role:
The Overnight Commis 2 will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen during late-night hours. This includes preparing and executing overnight menu items, setting up food stations, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. If you're passionate about food, have excellent knife skills, and a strong commitment to service, we want to hear from you
Responsibilities:
- Preparation and execution of overnight menu items, including In Room Dining
- Setting up food stations and obtaining necessary equipment and materials
- Preparing food stations for service, including organizing and managing banquets and buffets
- Cleaning and inspecting kitchens and food service areas, ensuring a neat and organized work environment
- Preparing and plating items received from the computer system in a timely and accurate manner
- Preparing dishes for guests with allergies or food intolerances
- Communicating with cooks regarding timing and maintaining records and ordering food, supplies, and kitchen equipment as required
Requirements:
- Culinary education or several years of commercial cooking experience
- 2+ years of culinary experience
- Ability to work overnights, weekends, and holidays
- Passion for food and excellent knife skills
- Strong command of the English language and excellent commitment to service and teamwork
- Ability to obtain a clean criminal record check and eligibility to work in Canada
