About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Overnight Culinary Specialist to join our team at Four Seasons Resort & Residences Whistler. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and executing our overnight menu items, including In Room Dining, to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and execution of overnight menu items, including In Room Dining
- Setting up food stations and obtaining all necessary equipment and materials
- Preparing food stations for service, including organizing and managing banquets and buffets
- Cleaning and inspecting kitchens and food service areas to ensure a safe and healthy environment
- Preparing and plating all items received from the computer system in a timely and accurate manner
- Preparing dishes for guests with dietary restrictions or preferences
- Communicating with cooks regarding timing and menu execution
- Maintaining records and ordering food, supplies, and kitchen equipment as required
Requirements:
- Culinary education or equivalent experience in a commercial kitchen
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role
- Ability to work overnights, weekends, and holidays
- Passion for food and commitment to quality and presentation
- Excellent knife skills and attention to detail
- Strong command of the English language
- Excellent commitment to teamwork and customer service
- Ability to obtain a clean criminal record check
- Eligibility to work in Canada
