About the Role:

The Commis 2 is a key member of our culinary team, responsible for preparing and executing menu items, including In Room Dining. This role requires a strong passion for food, excellent knife skills, and a commitment to cleanliness and organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and execution of morning and afternoon menu items, including In Room Dining.
  • Setting up food stations, obtaining necessary equipment and materials.
  • Preparing food stations for service, including organizing and managing banquets and buffets.
  • Cleaning and inspecting kitchens and food service areas, ensuring a neat and organized work environment.
  • Preparing and plating items received from the computer system in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Specializing in Pastry cooking, as needed.
  • Preparing dishes for guests with allergies or food intolerances.
  • Communicating with cooks regarding timing and maintaining records of food, supplies, and kitchen equipment.

Requirements:

  • Culinary education or several years of commercial cooking experience.
  • 2+ years of culinary experience.
  • Passion for food and excellent knife skills.
  • Strong command of the English language.
  • Excellent commitment to service and teamwork.
  • Ability to obtain a clean criminal record check and eligibility to work in Canada.
