Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Combined Lab & Radiology Technologist (CLXT) to enhance the Clinical Laboratory team. This role is essential in providing comprehensive laboratory and radiological services.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine technical tasks, ensuring adherence to quality standards, maintaining equipment, scheduling patient appointments, and resolving daily challenges in both the radiology and laboratory settings. Comply with the Diagnostic Accreditation Program (DAP) standards.About the Community
The community offers a stunning natural environment, characterized by channels, inlets, and lush forests. It is a habitat for diverse wildlife, including salmon, orcas, and bald eagles, making it an ideal location for outdoor activities such as kayaking, fishing, and hiking.
The healthcare facility is equipped with acute care beds, long-term care beds, and a fully operational emergency department, complemented by laboratory and diagnostic imaging services. It also provides telehealth options and specialized clinics, supported by a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Completion of an accredited Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist/Technician Program. Experience or formal training in transfusion medicine. Eligibility for membership with relevant professional organizations.Skills & Competencies
Proven ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats. Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members. Physical capability to perform the duties required for the position. Demonstrated organizational skills. Proficiency in operating relevant equipment. Effective problem-solving abilities.Additional Information
Work hours, including days off and work location, may vary based on operational needs. Successful candidates may need to undergo a Criminal Records Review Check.
