About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Hyklen Services. As a Grounds Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our grounds, ensuring they are well-manicured and visually appealing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire, Supervise, and Schedule Staff: You will be responsible for hiring, supervising, and scheduling staff to ensure that our grounds are maintained to the highest standards.
  • Resolve Work Problems: You will resolve work problems by providing technical advice to increase the value and functionality of our property.
  • Schedule Work: You will schedule work to ensure that our grounds are maintained in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Plan and Direct Grounds Maintenance: You will plan and direct grounds maintenance activities to ensure that our property is well-manicured and visually appealing.
  • Plan, Manage, and Supervise Landscape Construction Work: You will plan, manage, and supervise landscape construction work to ensure that it is completed to the highest standards.
  • Maintain Work Records and Logs: You will maintain accurate work records and logs to ensure that our grounds are maintained in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Read Blueprints and Drawings: You will read blueprints and drawings to ensure that our grounds are maintained in accordance with design specifications.
  • Requisition or Order Materials, Equipment, and Supplies: You will requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed to ensure that our grounds are maintained to the highest standards.
  • Resolve Work Problems, Provide Technical Advice, and Recommend Measures to Improve Productivity and Product Quality: You will resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
Supervision
  • Supervise 3-4 People: You will supervise a team of 3-4 people to ensure that our grounds are maintained to the highest standards.
  • Supervise 5-10 People: You will supervise a team of 5-10 people to ensure that our grounds are maintained to the highest standards.
Security and Safety
  • Driver's Validity Licence Check: You will ensure that all drivers have a valid driver's license and are authorized to operate company vehicles.
Transportation/Travel Information
  • Valid Driver's Licence: You will require a valid driver's license to operate company vehicles.
  • Vehicle Supplied by Employer: You will be provided with a company vehicle to perform your duties.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Fast-Paced Environment: You will work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Work Under Pressure: You will work under pressure to meet deadlines and ensure that our grounds are maintained to the highest standards.
  • Physically Demanding: You will be required to perform physically demanding tasks, including bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Attention to Detail: You will require attention to detail to ensure that our grounds are maintained to the highest standards.
  • Combination of Sitting, Standing, Walking: You will be required to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Bending, Crouching, Kneeling: You will be required to bend, crouch, and kneel to perform tasks.
  • Large Workload: You will have a large workload with multiple tasks and deadlines.
Experience
  • Will Train: You will be provided with training to ensure that you have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform your duties.
