Job Title: IT Helpdesk Technician

Job Summary:

The City of Kamloops is seeking a highly skilled IT Helpdesk Technician to join our team. As an IT Helpdesk Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting services to our internal and external clients. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a customer-oriented attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting services for hardware, software, network, and security systems.
  • Manage Windows and iOS endpoints, IP LAN and Wi-Fi Communication, DNS and DHCP Communication, Active Directory, audio/video equipment, printing, and POS equipment.
  • Manage Office 365, Exchange Online, Intune, Group Policy, and Windows Server in an end-user support role.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a post-secondary diploma from a recognized institute of technology in information systems.
  • Minimum two years' working experience in a similar role, with a strong background in IT support and troubleshooting.
  • Valid BC Driver's licence - Class 5.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an RCMP enhanced security clearance.
