Job Summary

The Culinary Specialist will be responsible for planning and executing menu items, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring high-quality food and service standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution
    • Determine the size of food portions and costs
    • Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization
  • Kitchen Operations
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies
    • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
    • Inspect kitchens and food service areas
  • Inventory Management
    • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
  • Quality Control
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
  • Team Management
    • Supervise kitchen staff and ensure they are following proper food safety and handling procedures
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience
    • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Work Environment
    • Restaurant or food service establishment
  • Physical Demands
    • Standing for extended periods
