Director of Care

Job Overview:As a passionate leader, the Director of Care is responsible for guiding and supporting a team of healthcare professionals who provide exceptional care for residents. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing and experience in leading a team in a long-term care setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement a comprehensive nursing care program that meets the needs of residents.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of nursing staff, ensuring that high-quality care is provided to residents.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director to hire, train, and schedule nursing personnel.
- Ensure that all nursing staff are competent and qualified to provide care to residents.
- Develop and maintain relationships with residents and their families to ensure a high level of satisfaction.
- Prepare and submit regular reports to the Executive Director and Senior Management.
- Ensure that all medications are administered safely and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Director of Care in a long-term care facility.
- Experience in geriatric, rehabilitation, or long-term care nursing is desirable.
- Knowledge of the nursing process and ability to apply it in a long-term care setting.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license.
A competitive salary range of $100,000 - $105,000 and the opportunity to work with a dynamic team at TEEMA Group.
