AltaGas - Finance Transformation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Transformation Specialist to join our team at AltaGas. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a crucial role in driving process improvements and implementing innovative solutions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our finance operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of existing finance and accounting processes to identify areas for improvement and optimize financial performance.
  • Develop and implement strategies for process automation, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to redesign processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate the adoption of new systems and technologies by preparing training materials and conducting educational workshops for staff.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of newly implemented solutions, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in finance technology to ensure our processes remain competitive and cutting-edge.
  • Serve as a liaison between Finance and Digital to ensure clear communication and effective implementation of technological solutions.
  • Support Finance master management by maintaining controls for access, security, and data quality.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of financial processes and principles, as well as accounting practices.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and financial modeling.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, RPA tools, and Finance-related software.
  • Innovative thinker with a passion for continuous improvement and efficiency.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and a keen interest in utilizing Digital tools to support Finance operations.
