About the Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Youth Care Practitioner to join our team at the Elizabeth Road Program. This program provides clinical supports for individual youth in a home-like setting, with a focus on promoting healthy relationships, self-esteem, and life skills. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our team to provide 24/7 support, supervision, and mentoring to youth, while utilizing a positive, trauma-informed, and strength-based approach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct mental health assessments and provide individualized support to youth
  • Develop and implement personalized goals and plans for youth, in collaboration with the Program Manager and community supports
  • Provide crisis intervention and support as needed, while maintaining a safe and supportive environment
  • Collaborate with other teams and external stakeholders to ensure comprehensive support for youth and families
  • Perform general facility tasks, such as cleaning, cooking, and errands, to ensure the smooth operation of the program
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary degree in a relevant field, such as psychology, social work, or social sciences
  • Experience working with youth and families in a supportive capacity
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and a strength-based approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
  • Certification in DLE (The Purposeful use of Daily Life Events) or TCS (Therapeutic Crisis Solutions) is an asset
