Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide safe and quality patient care, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver patient-centered care, reflecting the shared vision and values of Alberta Health Services.
  • Participate in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care, working to the full scope of practice.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers, demonstrating strong written and oral communication skills.

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA).
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum one year of employment as a licensed practical nurse in acute care within the past three years.
