Certified Aquatic Instructor

Position Overview:
The District of Saanich is in search of multiple certified Aquatic Instructors to oversee the management of our Lifesaving Society swimming lesson programs. Responsibilities include the planning and preparation of designated programs, conducting assigned classes, assessing participant progress, maintaining records, and fostering public relations.
The ideal candidates will ensure that all participants receive instruction that adheres to the safety and skill standards established by Saanich and relevant aquatic organizations.
Qualifications:
- Completion of Grade 10 education.
- Minimum age requirement of 15 years.
- Possession of the Lifesaving Society BC Swim Instructor Award.
- A minimum of three months of relevant experience.
- A satisfactory Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector check (PIC-VS) conducted within the last six months.
- Candidates with a combination of education and experience equivalent to the above may also be considered.
Work Schedule:
Successful candidates will be expected to work flexible shifts, which may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. Please note that hours and shifts are subject to change.
Additional Information:
