Job Opportunity:
The District of Saanich is seeking a certified Aquatic Instructor III to deliver lifesaving, first aid, lifeguard, and instructor training programs at the Gordon Head Recreation Centre.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction for first aid, National Lifeguard, and instructor development courses
- Provide direct instruction, leadership, and program management
- Prepare course outlines and class content
- Maintain accurate attendance records and reports
- Ensure a safe and clean work environment
Requirements:
- Completion of Grade 10
- Current awards: First Aid Instructor (Lifesaving Society or Canadian Red Cross), National Lifeguard Instructor, or Lifesaving Society Trainer award in any stream
- Three months of experience
- Satisfactory police information check with vulnerable sector check no older than 6 months
Additional Requirements for Aquatic Instructor III:
- Completion of Grade 12
- Current Lifesaving Instructor award
- Six months of teaching experience
- Satisfactory police information check with vulnerable sector check no older than 6 months
