Information Required

To be considered, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the following essential qualifications:

EDUCATION:
- A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience.

EXPERIENCE:
- Extensive experience working with the offices of senior officials such as Deputy Ministers or Ministers;
- Experience in coordinating and preparing briefing materials to support senior leaders in parliamentary affairs, communications, or similar fields;
- Experience advising senior leaders on program, policy, Cabinet, or parliamentary matters;
- Experience collaborating with officials responsible for Cabinet or parliamentary functions.

Knowledge and Competencies

KNOWLEDGE:
- Understanding of parliamentary rules, practices, and the decision-making processes of the House of Commons, the Senate, and their committees.

COMPETENCIES:
- Demonstrating integrity and respect;
- Critical thinking;
- Initiative and action-oriented approach;
- Effective collaboration with others.

ABILITIES:
- Ability to identify, analyze, and synthesize complex issues;
- Ability to negotiate and establish deadlines while ensuring they are met;
- Proficient communication skills, both written and oral.

Conditions of Employment

Secret security clearance is a mandatory requirement for an appointment at Employment and Social Development Canada.
