Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in taxation, finance, or a comparable analytical discipline.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Utilize strong financial expertise and business insight to develop financial models and analyses with minimal supervision, drawing actionable conclusions and recommendations that drive performance.
  • Oversee the creation of weekly and monthly financial assessments, forecasts, and reporting models, ensuring continuous innovation and effective communication with financial and operational stakeholders.
  • Identify and address complex data integrity challenges, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure the highest standards are met.
  • Recognize the necessity for enhanced controls to mitigate risks associated with business, industry, policy, and regulatory changes, proactively proposing effective control measures.
Business Insights
  • Identify and implement strategies to resolve financial challenges, enhance, scale, or simplify financial tools, technologies, and processes across various teams and departments.
  • Comprehend the flow of data through our financial systems and determine the appropriate data for analysis, establishing a reliable source of truth.
  • Simplify and centralize process improvements and reporting to enable business partners and clients to act swiftly.
Team Collaboration
  • Encourage, appreciate, and leverage diverse viewpoints.
  • Challenge assumptions and plans put forth by business partners when necessary.
  • Communicate data clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.

A Day in the Role:

The AR Controllership team is a newly established group that will collaborate with various teams and departments within Amazon. This position offers the opportunity to help shape a new team and set standards within fulfillment centers. A typical day in this role involves addressing complex issues that impact strategic decision-making across the company, navigating ambiguity, prioritizing high-impact projects to maximize results for key stakeholders, designing and implementing new financial reporting and modeling, and leveraging large-scale data mining tools to find creative solutions.

Compensation:

The base salary for this position ranges from $66,000 to $110,100 annually. Salary is determined by various factors and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon offers a comprehensive compensation package that may include equity, sign-on bonuses, and a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
