Amazon Canada Fulfillment Services, ULC is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to serve as a trusted financial advisor for multiple fulfillment centers, focusing on cost management and delivering valuable business insights. This position will work in close partnership with a diverse group of Finance and Business leaders across Operations, Process Engineering, and other departments to drive a strategy centered on optimization, efficiency, and ongoing enhancement. The role also entails developing and presenting comprehensive financial analyses and insights in a clear and impactful manner to guide business partners in making informed, data-driven decisions.

A typical day in this position offers the chance to enhance and establish new metrics for site productivity, devise innovative solutions using extensive data analysis tools, identify priority projects to maximize outcomes for key stakeholders, and tackle complex challenges that influence strategic decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leverage strong financial expertise and business insight to construct financial models, analyze data, draw conclusions, and provide recommendations that yield results, drive enhancements, and influence leaders across Amazon with potential global implications.
  • Oversee the delivery of weekly and monthly financial close processes, planning, forecasting, budgeting, and consolidations utilizing advanced financial systems and Excel functionalities.
  • Foster effective business relationships, manage competing priorities, and offer guidance during unforeseen circumstances.
  • Employ active listening skills to communicate financial data (both written and verbal) clearly and concisely, adapting your communication style based on the audience to clarify complex financial matters.
  • Gather and evaluate quantitative data to create relevant reports that lead to cost efficiencies.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to rectify financial discrepancies and enhance, scale, or simplify financial tools across teams and departments.
  • Contribute to a harmonious work-life balance by being a positive, collaborative, and effective mentor to new team members, exemplifying operational excellence.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or CPA designation
  • Experience in applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
