Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Support Services Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Facilities Services Support Lead, you will play a vital role in coordinating and enhancing support services that directly contribute to optimal patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for support services, encompassing environmental hygiene, food production, laundry, maintenance, capital expenditures management, and more.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless integration of support services into overall patient care operations.
  • Oversee the performance of support service staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient satisfaction.
  • Adhere to strict safety protocols and regulations to maintain a secure and healthy work environment.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven management experience in a healthcare setting, with a strong understanding of the unique challenges and demands of this industry.
  • Experience leading and motivating teams in a unionized environment is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated expertise in quality improvement, workplace safety, patient safety, and risk management principles.
  • Adept at implementing change management strategies to drive positive organizational transformation.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively handle complex issues under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling clear and concise interactions with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications is essential.

Education and Certification

  • A post-secondary degree or certification in healthcare management is required.
  • Lean 6-sigma certification at a desired level is an asset.
