Job Title: Manager - Support Service - SMHC

At Shared Health, we are committed to providing high-quality healthcare services to our patients and communities. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager - Support Service - SMHC to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Manager - Support Service - SMHC is responsible for the development and coordination of support services, ensuring the cohesive integration of these services with programs to achieve optimal patient care. This includes environmental hygiene, food production, laundry, mobile support, order/receiving/warehousing supplies, building maintenance, and managing capital and minor capital expenditures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement support services strategies to improve patient care and satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with facilities services support lead to ensure effective delivery of support services.
  • Manage and supervise support services staff to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures for support services.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of support services with programs.
Requirements:
  • Management experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Supervisory experience in a unionized setting.
  • Experience in quality improvement, workplace safety, patient safety, and risk management.
  • Experience applying change management principles.
  • Experience in developing policies and procedures.
Education:
  • Post-secondary degree in a relevant field, such as healthcare management or a related field.
  • Lean 6-sigma certification at a Green Belt level or higher.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Demonstrated problem identification, analysis, and resolution skills.
  • Ability to solve complex issues under pressure in a timely manner.
  • Knowledge of Workplace Safety & Health practices and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
