Operations Manager

At Shared Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager to lead our Support Services team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and coordinating support services that ensure the cohesive integration of these services with programs to achieve optimal patient care.
Main Responsibilities:- Develop and implement support services that meet the needs of our patients and staff.
- Collaborate with the Facilities Services Support Lead to ensure the effective delivery of support services.
- Manage and coordinate the activities of the Support Services team, including environmental hygiene, food production, laundry, mobile support, order/receiving/warehousing supplies, and building maintenance.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Shared Health policies.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the Support Services team to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Management experience in a healthcare environment, required.
- Supervisory experience in a unionized setting, preferred.
- Experience in quality improvement, workplace safety, patient safety, and risk management, required.
- Experience applying change management principles, required.
- Experience in developing policies and procedures, required.
- Post-secondary degree/Bachelor of Human Nutritional Sciences or Food Sciences or a Degree in Management or post-secondary certification in healthcare management required.
- A combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Lean 6-sigma certification at a Green Belt level or higher, desired.
- Demonstrated problem identification, analysis and resolution skills, required.
- Ability to solve complex issues under pressure in a timely manner, required.
- Knowledge of Workplace Safety & Health practices and procedures, required.
- Excellent verbal communication skills, required.
- Excellent written communication skills, required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, required.
- Intermediate level of proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), required.
