Job Title: Manager - Support Service - SMHC

At Shared Health, we are committed to providing high-quality healthcare services to our patients and communities. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager - Support Service - SMHC to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Manager - Support Service - SMHC will be responsible for the development and coordination of support services, ensuring the cohesive integration of these services with programs to achieve optimal patient care. This includes environmental hygiene, food production, laundry, mobile support, order/receiving/warehousing supplies, building maintenance, and managing capital and minor capital expenditures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement support services strategies to enhance patient care and satisfaction.
  • Manage and coordinate support services teams to ensure effective and efficient delivery of services.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to integrate support services with patient care programs.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Shared Health policies and procedures.
  • Manage budgets and resources to optimize support services delivery.
Requirements:
  • Management experience in a healthcare environment, required.
  • Supervisory experience in a unionized setting, preferred.
  • Experience in quality improvement, workplace safety, patient safety, and risk management, required.
  • Experience applying change management principles, required.
  • Experience in developing policies and procedures, required.
Education and Certification:
  • Post-secondary degree/Bachelor of Human Nutritional Sciences or Food Sciences or a Degree in Management or post-secondary certification in healthcare management required.
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Lean 6-sigma certification at a Green Belt level or higher, desired.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Demonstrated problem identification, analysis, and resolution skills, required.
  • Ability to solve complex issues under pressure in a timely manner, required.
  • Knowledge of Workplace Safety & Health practices and procedures, required.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, required.
  • Excellent written communication skills, required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, required.
  • Intermediate level of proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), required.
