Job Summary:

Dawn Staffing Solutions Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to lead our quality control team in the tooling industry. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are met in the production of precision components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and Mentor a Team: Supervise and guide a team of quality control inspectors and technicians specializing in tooling, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operation.
  • Task Assignment and Workload Management: Assign tasks and manage workloads to ensure the quality control team is operating at optimal levels.
  • Quality Issue Resolution: Conduct regular meetings to discuss quality issues, provide feedback, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Inspection and Testing: Oversee the inspection and testing of tools, dies, molds, and other precision components to ensure they meet design specifications and tolerances.
  • Quality Control Measures: Utilize precision measurement instruments to verify product quality and ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and non-conformances, ensuring traceability and accuracy.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal quality policies specific to the tooling industry.
  • Quality Reporting: Prepare quality reports for management, highlighting areas of concern and recommending corrective actions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify root causes of quality issues and collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement corrective actions and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on industry trends, new materials, and technologies that can improve tooling quality.
  • Decision Making: Make decisions on product conformity, ensuring non-conforming tools are quarantined and corrective actions are taken.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
  • Certifications: Certifications such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Quality Auditor are advantageous.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in quality control, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role within the tooling industry.
  • Skills: Experience with precision measurement and inspection of tooling products is essential.
