About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to join our team at Société de développement Vieux-Saint-Jean. As an Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and executing various events and activities that promote our organization's mission and goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Planning: Develop and implement event plans, including marketing and communication strategies, to ensure successful execution.
  • Logistics Management: Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and stakeholders to arrange for event services, such as catering, audio-visual equipment, and decorations.
  • Staff Supervision: Recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers to assist with event execution.
  • Financial Management: Assist in budget preparation and review bids to negotiate costs.
  • Communication: Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including sponsors, partners, and attendees.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Previous experience in event planning or a related field is an asset.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Certifications: Special events co-ordinator/manager certification is an asset.
Work Environment

This is a hybrid work arrangement, with a mix of remote and in-office work. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver's licence and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
