We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Event Planner to join our team at Société de développement Vieux-Saint-Jean. As an Event Planner, you will be responsible for planning and executing various events, including conferences, meetings, and social gatherings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement marketing and communication plans to promote events
  • Recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers as needed
  • Develop sponsorship, partnership, or fundraising programs to support events
  • Review bids and negotiate costs for event services and supplies
  • Coordinate logistics, including venue selection, catering, and audiovisual equipment
  • Assist in budget preparation and management
  • Plan and coordinate event schedules, goals, and objectives
  • Research and design special events programs, including themes, decorations, and entertainment
  • Manage event logistics, including transportation, accommodations, and registration
Requirements:
  • Special events co-ordinator/manager certification
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Efficient interpersonal skills and a team player attitude
