Entertainment Lighting Product Development Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing brand segments and formulating growth strategies.
  • Establishing product pricing for the Canadian market.
  • Creating and implementing product go-to-market strategies.
  • Conducting sales, profitability, and competitive analysis.
  • Overseeing inventory management.
  • Managing the product lifecycle from SKU creation to product launch and retirement.
  • Building strong supplier relationships and maintaining open lines of communication.
  • Collaborating with sales representatives and suppliers.
  • Providing insights into product applications, competitive landscape, and industry trends.
  • Developing and coordinating marketing and communication initiatives.
  • Managing social media platforms, digital content, and e-commerce strategies.
  • Assisting in the organization of trade shows, special events, and promotional activities.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of marketing experience, including brand management and product marketing.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in the entertainment lighting industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience in marketing technical products.
  • Strong ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively.
  • Exceptional analytical and project management skills.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze sales and financial data.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in digital marketing, lead generation, and content creation.
  • In-depth experience and strong understanding of automated lighting in entertainment, theater, and architectural lighting sectors.
  • Familiarity with the national lighting market landscape – rentals, integration, retail.
  • Strong knowledge of technologies such as LED, optics, video, and control protocols.
  • Strategic understanding of the DJ retail lighting segment.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience is preferred.
  • A Bachelor of Commerce degree or similar is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively under pressure.
  • Creative, organized, with sound judgment, results-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and JD Edwards/E1 is a plus.
  • Fully bilingual (written and verbal) in French and English.
