Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated User Support Technician to join our team at 2720455 Ontario Inc.. This role is essential in providing technical assistance and support to our users, ensuring smooth operations within our office environment.

Employment Details

  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
Work Environment

The position is based in an office building, where you will be part of a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate access to computer networks for users.
  • Assist users facing challenges with their computers.
  • Refer to user manuals, technical documents, and other resources to identify and implement solutions.
  • Offer guidance and training to users based on their specific needs.
  • Maintain a log of problems and solutions for reference by other technical support personnel.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of applications and software.
  • Deliver support for business systems, networks, and internet services in response to user inquiries.
  • Set up equipment for employee use, ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, and necessary software.
  • Conduct backup and recovery operations for web servers.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and manage incidents effectively.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This role may involve supervising 1 to 2 individuals.

Technical Skills Required
  • Proficiency in networking software and security.
  • Familiarity with internet technologies and servers.
  • Knowledge of security software and word processing applications.
  • Experience with mail server software, HTML editing tools, and MS Office.
  • Competence in MS Windows and SharePoint.
