Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in financial lending, capital markets, treasury, accounting, or finance
  • In-depth understanding of lending credit principles and the regulatory framework of the mortgage industry
  • Experience in capital markets solutions and strategic planning
  • Proven ability to build and lead teams effectively

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, CPA, or CFA certification
  • 7 years of experience in mortgage finance within a financial services institution or banking environment
  • Familiarity with the NHA MBS marketplace, residential mortgage capital markets, and investor reporting requirements
  • Strong professional relationships and networks with mortgage aggregators
  • Capability to analyze reports and assess outcomes to inform decision-making

Job Summary

As the Capital Markets Team Supervisor, you will guide our organization through various strategic initiatives and oversee operations related to lending, finance, treasury, and capital markets programs. In this capacity, you will collaborate with business partners to ensure that funding and capital solutions are effectively addressed while fostering the development of your team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and direction to direct reports while driving business performance
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to execute the strategic plan for your team
  • Identify and facilitate the implementation of key initiatives
  • Evaluate and prioritize business investments
  • Conduct periodic lending risk assessments to evaluate lending risks in relevant business areas
  • Lead communication and relationship management with key mortgage aggregators for funding and capital requirements
  • Ensure compliance with reporting obligations of mortgage aggregators while enhancing business efficiencies
  • Act as a subject matter expert in lending finance and capital market initiatives to optimize capital efficiency and reduce capital costs
  • Promote cohesion and development among teams across various business sectors such as finance, capital markets, and accounting
  • Manage special projects as assigned, including treasury and capital markets analysis, credit risk assessments, or collateral report reviews
  • Stay informed about market and industry trends and developments
  • Recommend enhancements to policies, standards, guidelines, and processes to streamline operations without compromising quality
