The Role
We are looking for driven and talented individuals to join our team as Associates in Valuations & Transaction Advisory. This role is perfect for those who have a keen interest in finance, accounting, and advisory services, and who aspire to build a career in business valuation and transaction advisory.
Key Responsibilities
As an Associate, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Drafting engagement proposals and assisting in the planning and budgeting phases;
- Managing information requests and maintaining accurate records of received documents;
- Supporting the creation of confidential information memorandums (CIMs), marketing materials, and client presentations;
- Coordinating financial due diligence and providing support for M&A transactions through qualitative and quantitative analysis;
- Analyzing business plans and publicly available information to assess target businesses;
- Identifying key issues that may affect clients' investment decisions;
- Reviewing sale and purchase agreements and financial models to ensure alignment with due diligence findings;
- Evaluating financing structures and reviewing relevant agreements;
- Assessing potential synergies and considerations for post-merger integration;
- Preparing schedules and developing models for various valuation and strategic analysis projects;
- Conducting research related to valuations, including industry data and public company comparisons;
- Assisting in the preparation of business valuation reports;
- Supporting daily activities related to acquisitions, divestitures, mergers, or financing assignments;
- Maintaining regular communication with team members regarding engagement status;
- Interacting with clients and their advisors throughout assignments;
- Preparing completion documents to efficiently close out files in accordance with professional standards.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field;
- Progress towards a professional designation in accounting or finance, such as CPA, CFA, or CBV;
- A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, including financial analysis and business valuation;
- A proven track record of client service and effective file management in a dynamic environment.
